before they could accept James song, “I Guard America”.

Bob is understandably very proud of this....the original document, given to him by James.

The National Guard Bureau awarded James with this Minute Man Heritage painting-"Stand Your Ground".

The inscription on the painting says:
PRESENTED TO
JAMES ROGERS
A GREAT AMERICAN PATRIOT, THE COMPOSER OF THE
NATIONAL GUARD SONG, "I GUARD AMERICA", AND ONE OF OUR OWN.

Far left is Maj. Gen Fred Forster, who was very fond of James..
..and at one time was a General at the McGhee Tyson ANG Base.
Maj. Forster passed away last November.

Not only was James asked to perform the song “I Guard America”,
but the Generals talked James into doing pretty much a whole show!!
When James was done, he received a Standing Ovation!!!
Bob said, "Not a soul left during the whole show!!!"
